Counselling & Coaching · Singapore
Gain clarity. Find balance. Move forward.
I'm Nic, a Singapore-based counsellor and coach working with young adults, working professionals and LGBTQ+ clients navigating stress, identity, relationships, career questions, and life transitions.
This is a space for honest reflection, emotional clarity, and practical action.
Grounded in Reality
I care less about labels than about your lived reality: the pressures you're actually under, and what you want to be different. We start from where you are, not where a model says you should be.
I Know the Pressure Cooker
A decade leading teams in global commodities trading, so burnout, performance anxiety, and identity at work aren't abstract to me.
Affirming, by Design
Safe, identity-aware, sex-positive counselling for LGBTQ+ clients. Highly attentive to minority stress and the particular pressures of being yourself in an Asian context.
About
I'm interested in the stories we tell ourselves.
I have spent more than a decade in trading, most recently leading teams across Asia. For years, the part of leading a team I enjoyed most was helping others understand themselves better, to see what kept tripping them up. I have seen high achievers burn out, and have helped them find their own way forward. Economics is what got me in the door, psychology is what kept me there. That's what led me to counselling and coaching.
In my sessions, I bring these lived experiences paired with a human-centered approach to serve you. I want the work to be practical and lasting. I'll help you see the patterns you are too close to spot, then we work out what to do with them. I'm comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, because I've spent my whole career in them. And whoever you are and wherever you're coming from, you won't have to perform, and you won't need a reason to just be yourself.
Life outside the room
Singaporean, born and raised. Outside the room you'll find me on a snowboard, travelling solo, or somewhere quiet in nature, which is usually where I do my clearest thinking. I take the work seriously and myself a lot less so. Underneath all of it I hold one belief: a good life is a balanced one. Not perfectly balanced, that's a myth, but balanced enough to feel like yours.
Training & accreditation
Properly trained for the work.
Thoroughly trained, with a deliberately eclectic approach: I draw from several modalities and tailor each session to the person, rather than forcing anyone into one framework. The experience I bring from a demanding career outside this room informs the work as much as any method does.

Who I work with
For the capable ones carrying more than they let on.
I work mostly with adults navigating pressure and change, who often come when something that used to work has stopped working.
I commonly support
- Stress, burnout, and the cost of being the capable one
- Anxiety, overthinking, and difficulty switching off
- Career pressure, transitions, and questions of direction
- Identity, self-worth, and relationships
- Low mood and seasons that feel heavier than they should
I particularly welcome
- Professionals & leaders carrying responsibility quietly
- Young adults in transition: work, identity, independence
- LGBTQ+ clients: affirming, informed, without you having to explain
- Couples: working on connection, communication, and repair
My approach
Calm, conversational, and practical.
No couch, no jargon, no assumption that you're broken. We'll look at what shaped you, but I'm just as interested in where you want to head and what's getting in the way: the patterns, the pressures, and the choices available to you now.
Counselling · Coaching · Consulting
Which kind of support do you need?
The simplest way to tell them apart is to ask what you're looking for: to heal something, to move toward something, or to be handed an answer.
Counselling
For processing and healing. We work with what's painful or stuck, at whatever pace you need. It leans emotional, and holds the past as well as the present.
Coaching
For momentum. Structured, forward-looking work on goals, performance, and decisions. Practical and action-oriented. Non-clinical.
Consulting
For answers. A consultant tells you what to do. Coaching is almost the opposite: I help you find your own answers, because those are the ones that last.
Not sure which fits? That's normal. We'll figure it out in a first conversation, and I'll be honest if you'd be better served elsewhere.
Sessions & fees
Simple, transparent pricing.
